Chelmarsh Parish Council has seven Councillors representing the communities of Chelmarsh, Sutton, Hampton, Hampton Loade and Astbury. For details of your Councillors click here
The parish clerk is Gillian Bailey. She works 8 hours a week and can be contacted by email at clerk@chelmarshparishcouncil.gov.uk or text or telephone 07810 521469 during normal working hours.
What do we do?
The Parish Council normally meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month (except August and December) at Chelmarsh Parish Hall. Unless otherwise stated meetings start at 7.30pm. Residents are welcome to attend; there is an opportunity to speak at the beginning of each meeting.
The Parish Council owns and maintains the following:
- Recreation ground and play equipment
- Cricket field - leased to and maintained and managed by the cricket club
- Car park opposite the parish hall
- Bus shelter
- Three defibrillators
- Five streetlights
- Three benches
The Parish Council also responds, on behalf of residents, to planning applications and consultations and works with Shropshire Council and other partners on issues relating to the Parish.
